PS3 Controller

I didn't see a discussion on this, so apologies if it has been answered already.

I just ordered a USB OTG cable with hopes of using it with a PS3 controller.
So I plug in my old Sixaxis controller and immediately see an error that it draws too much power. I tried a Dualshock3 controller as well with the same result.

You would think that Sony would have designed the XPERIA S to work with their controllers...

I know that I can use a powered USB hub or the SIXAXIS bluetooth app (requres root). In my opinion, using a cable is way more convenient since I use the controllers on my PS3 also.

I doubt that the ICS update would be able to fix this, but it might be possible. Any thoughts?
