To install clear cache then dalvik cache then install the kernel?

Think of your home bedroom floor being dirty. And you put on huge carpet in that room, and then clean room after putting on new carpet. And instead clean your room and then putting carpet?

Yes but if it is the next room it doesn't matter. I. E wiping /cache partition. Nothing gets installed in /cache

Wow trying to download and it looks like mediafire dosent open its like kind of blocked....can some one check if you can acces the link in the op.tx

Mediafire working for me, but if you are using your phone to download it, change your browser "user agent" to desktop. After that it will work as normal desktop

cache holds old data, so if you flash new kernel without clearing those data, they remain.
But i guess dalvik/cache wipe before or after flashing kernel should not matter, as those cache will not be build again until you reboot your device into specific ROM.

Received msg SD card is damaged... here's logcat http://db.tt/2dZSVWKB

Unmounting and remounting fixed it...this is the update-harsh-cm7-3.0.31-P999-1605.zip version...I did get a bsod earlier (no logcat tho :-/ if it happens again will do)...then my phone somehow got the v21y update and I couldn't boot my phone up :-/

All is well now :)
