use the search button

it will reveal the easy to follow [HOWTO] guide, which is also mentioned on the OP if you actually read the message and explored the information.

another perfect example of this http://www.xda-developers.com/androi...-or-bad-thing/

I did exactly all the steps. I was previously on the vkl1 modem without the updated build prop and I always got speeds of below 1mbps like .7-9 mbps. Then i decided to switch to the telus modem , and replace my build prop with the new one. So I flashed the new modem through cwm on my phone and replaced build prop with root explorer. I rebooted twice to make sure the new build prop was being used. I open up my speed test app and I get .42mbps download and .03 mbps upload?!?!
Repeated and got similar results. Any reason why this is happening?

Why am I not getting good speeds and not even breaking 1.5mbps?

I am not being throttled in my tmobile plan
Tmobile coverage is good in my area, denton tx
I have 4 bars and i am set to hspa only
running latest saurom rom and not oc.

Can anybody help me out?? I need faster speeds

I'm not sure man. I'm sorry it's not working for you. It works ok for me, that's why I posted it. Even for me sometimes the speeds are a little off. We just need to wait for a better solution to surface. I hope a reliable alternative is found eventually for us T-Mobile peeps.

I posted this in another thread and figured I would put it here as well. It's a screenshot of various speed tests I ran on my note. As you can see, the ping is whack and the upload is hit or miss but overall the downloads are pretty decent.

Can a Canadian user on Wind or Mobilicity tell me a few things?

-which phone did you buy? Telus I assume.
-which radio did you flash it with?
-who did you use to unlock/or can i do it free from the market?
-Are you having any issues?

Sorry kinda new to this flashing thing. I have a AT&T galaxy note on Tmobile USA using KID modem right now.. Bell Canada says that it has 1700 AWS on their Note, would it be ok to flash my AT&T i717 with the Bell Galaxy Note modem to work on Tmobile USA? thanks.

You guys might want to check out the Blaze 4G radio, it seems to be performing better, as in less dropped calls / less dropped data for me.

download links on my HOWTO topic liked by the OP

speed test coming up later tonight
