You have to enter Rescan Media Root and exit it after every reboot and/or sort your media files and put them on external SD. (and it's a good idea to permanently move Camera folder to ExternalSD and set default storage in Camera app on SD card as well.)
Delete .nomedia file in root of the internal SD card (if you have one)
You can find them in /data/clipboard
Are you sure you disabled fast dormancy with GM's app and then rebooted.

Have you tried to check your sim card connection or make factory reset before coming from CM?
(not in the stock Recovery, of course)
Well I have used Rom nuke before flashing neat Rom..and funny thing is that this SIM problem only comes when using Samsung-based roms.in the beginning before I had even rooted my phone I had problems with phone not detecting SIM card.friend of mine told it's Samsung software's fault.then I flashed cm Rom and voila, problem was never seen again.till now
I was talking about factory reset.
Or maybe your EFS partition is corrupted.
Ok, show me this screen.
Ok i deleted SPlanner and it has now installed, only problem is it is empty and when i go to settings, the "sync with" is empty so it won't show my accounts or any appointments

Buddy it must be something to do with what you have removed or frozen?
My accounts and everything are all there.
Currently on vacation from aokp jb and trying out roms based off stock lsj

Thanks bob, but I would rather not use Alliance - I read somewhere that it changes a lot of the ROM in such a way that it is borderline AllkianceROM. And I would rather stick to the purest form of NeatROM. If nothing else works, I might resort to this mod

Thanks for the upload, but I see the framework.jar is over 8MB and the one I uploaded on dropbox is 3.4MB. Does this matter? I am on NeatROM Lite 4.3 LSD version

I have that problem too. My account is shown but my calendar events aren't, although I have it setup properly. I believe a reboot will fix it. Please try it. I can't because I am waiting a really important phone call.
BTW, Bob I now have your NeatRom super Lite steps in my signature. Tell me how it looks!
EDIT: it seems you figured it out. Mind sharing mate?
Phone: Samsung Galaxy S2 GT-9100
ROM: NeatROM Lite 4.3 LSD

Thanks for this info. Bro!
I don't have .nomedia file in my /data/clipboard. However, I have that file inside my clockworkmod folder on my internalSD, should I delete that? Or is it needed, since I always create nandroid backups in my internalSD and just leave all my media files in my externalSD.
I appreciate your help!
Bob, this is a great post. I have a question regarding removing some of the apps listed (e.g. Allshare Service) as I simply cant mark them. could You explain what to do in order to be able to mark them and also which option to choose afterwards (freeze, uninstall...
Many thanks in advance.
Cheers
What do you mean by mark them?
There are ways to remove them. One is by Bob's way (which is using link2sd). One is before flashing, manually open the zip file and delete them from preload folder. One is after flashing, use file managers like ES File or Root Explorer, go preload folder and either delete them there (which gives you FCs till you reboot ur device) or rename them one by one (for me, I rename them to .bak eg. AllShare.apk to AllShare.bak). The latter wont give you any FCs.
