One could always "repo sync" and build yourself

It appears that the cyanogen github repository has updated to 4.0.4 base, so I've just built it and It's now installed.

If people are interested I could post my zip file of the rom or as I prefer the term firmware.

Ahh the fun of embedded development.
I was just about to install cm9, but will wait to try out the official 4.0.4 before I do that..

Anyway.. tomorrow is not too far away.

Quick question: once the url is grabbed and put here for everyone, the process is still the same right? Rename file to update.zip, place on the root of the storage, and boot into recovery to apply the update, right?

Try not thinking about an elephant for 15 minutes. I did that, and got my 4.0.4 upgrade, so it should work for others too.

Bingo.
Now alls we need is the url. Come on people, two people here have already got the OTA, come here to tell us how great it is without giving us a url.
On nexus s that url was up within 10 mins of the start of the rollout.

1. I'm rooted, unlocked boot with stock. I assume I'll be getting the OTA as well. Is this correct?

2. If I did the update via OTA/flashing it with the stock image, my Gnex will be unroot again. How can I root it again? Using a Mac btw.

Thanks
1. Correct

2. Download Voodoo OTA Rootkeeper from market now. Use it to backup root. Once you get updated, run voodoo again and restore root. You don't need your Mac or PC at all.

I'm also going to try out the official 4.0.4 when it arrives, I'm keeping an eye on the android firmware page.

But I've been tracking cm9 for a few weeks of late, and I enjoy playing with the bleeding edge.

Still I'm unable to build the kernel as of yet for CM9 I'm able to build it for AOSP but not CM9, if I had a working config file would be a start, and then I'd work from there.

I just love hacking round with *nix systems, be it *BSD, IRIX or linux, hehe

At least there was never a Open VMS phone, now that could have been amusing.

Which is probably as good of an indication as any that the rollout for the Galaxy Nexus probably hasn't started yet, the two people claiming otherwise notwithstanding.

Thank you! Since I'm on yakjuux, I still haven't received 4.02. Care to point me in the direction of that update.zip file?

i already told u how to find the url

we need a random url generator to check every possible file present under this path
Code:
http://android.clients.google.com/packages/ota/google_maguro/
that would be a long (and very crazy) process maybe, but someone with a fast net and pc can do it easily, and surely we will have the full url..
the ota is under that path, we only need the ****ing zip file name..for every ota the name seems about random (even if not completely), that why is hard to find, unless someone get the ota notification and grab the url from it of course or unless have a better way to hack that site and see the available files
