[Q] How to pair with Bluetooth headset in phone mode?
I just got a Bluetooth headphone/headset (with mic) to use with my GT7+ (GT-P6210 wi-fi only) and my semi-smart phone. The headset (Motorola MOTO ROKR S305) has three different pairing modes: music only, phone only, and both.
When I pair it with my little phone, it automatically pairs as both. It works fine as a phone headset (mic and earphones), and it works fine as a stereo headphone with the phone's music player.
When I pair it with my GT7+, it automatically pairs as music-only. There is no microphone function. With Bluetooth off, I can make calls using the GT7+ built-in mic and speaker and the GrooVe IP app. No problems. But with the Bluetooth headset paired, I just don't get the mic function. I can hear the phone audio in the earpieces, but the mic is dead.
Is there any workaround? Is there a way to get the GT7+ to identify itself as a phone-capable as well as music-capable device for the purpose of Bluetooth pairing? (That's what I think must be missing.)
TIA.
