About three updates ago I have been unable to send text msgs. I can receive text messeges, I can send MMS just fine.
What I have done to solve this issue:
Did research, installed different ATT APN settings that I have found including the one in this thread's FAQ and the APN setting in my wife's ATT Inspire.. I have done a complete wipe (several times during the course of trying to get this solved). I have tried with the AOKP stock kernel and Siyah kernels. I have tried a different messaging app. I have contacted ATT several times... absolutely nothing seems to solve this issue. Short of another complete wipe and trying a earlier AOKP/Kernel version I'm buffaloed as to what the problem can be.
Anyone have any suggestions as to what else I can try?
Other than this problem Task650's roms have worked flawlessly. I'm not even sure it's a rom issue but my wife can send text msgs fine (her Inspire is on CM7), and like I wrote I could send txt fine up until three updates ago (I update each and every one).
So....any help will be greatly appreciated.
I had a similar problem with my Captivate and this guide helped me out.

I know AOKP doesn't have that setting, but Samsung-based ROMs probably do. I suggest flashing a ROM based on a Samsung firmware (Serendipity, Phone-Bricker, etc.) and changing that setting. Then, of course, wipe and flash back to AOKP.

Just a tip i dont know if anybody uploads photos alot. But i do and its annoying af cuz they are sideways and when u resize them wit quickpic the resoiltion doesnt stay the same like it did on sammy roms. Heres what to do. Download photo editor. Open your pic. Change quality to 100. And save to gallery. And walla. Not sideways and u have full resolution still

Well, before I tried your suggestion I did another complete wipe and restored to AOKP 6.2.1, that didn't fix the messaging. So another complete wipe (if my phone had a buttocks it would raw by now) and flashed UCLD4 which I had. Messaging didn't work. So I then followed the link instructions and it worked.
So a major thanks go out you,bryman27!
Now to do another wipe and start from scratch...again. I hope this fix will take the flashing of AOKP. I'll post the results.
Extreme responses to other people have become the norm.

Yes, that happened to me also when I was setting up from a full wipe. I Did not think it could be my hidden wifi. I tired to install clean 5 times before I gave up and restored a nandroid of 6-7 and just updated with cache wipes...works fine now.
