Significantly extending Battery life
From my personal experience Battery life with V3, after applying the following simple (almost trivial..) procedure, went from 16 hrs to 40hrs on a single charge and moderate
use:

Go to recovery and select Advances/Wipe Battery status.
Reboot. Done!
Recharge to 100% and enjoy!

First of all the Android version is 4.0.3.Is almost Chinese ics stock version.
About root now...Please read mate.In every last pages there is one question and one answer about it.
Install lp6 kernel that you will find in op or a flashable zip with su fix that you will find 3-4 pages back.
After that you will have full root.

Edit: flash this for root.

sorry to requerie this, but i'm running the Alba V3 Rom without Root... it's not something i drastically need, but would like to have...

Everyone is saying Flash the LP6 Kernel repack... which i've downloaded in Zip ready, i'm just curious about how to flash it...

i'm quite new to this flashing gig, so bare with me... i normally use Odin on the PC to flash new firmwares and such, i previously used CWM to install this Rom over the rooted ICS chinese repack, but since i've lost root, i can't use CWM to install the Kernel repack...

I know it's an annoyance, but could someone actually explain how to flash the LP6 Kernel into the Alba V3 Rom as Odin doesn't recognise it, and without CWM to install it i'm feeling a bit lost...

You don't have cwm recovery?

Extract lp5 zImage (that's the kernel)from any ics ROM in your pc.put it in your sdcard and flash it via mobile Odin.
Then, with cwm recovery now, IF you don't have root access again, download from my previous post the su fix zip, put out in your sd card, go to cwm recovery, flash it and reboot.
That's it...

thanks for the quick reply... i've tried that, i've got the .zip file and it's on my SD Card... but i can't get into CWM recovery, whenever i boot using the vol, main and power key, it just sends me into the standard Android recovery area, not the CWM recovery...

Reinstalled CWM a few times, and it just keeps giving me the message about 'not rooted'... feeling a bit like the chicken and the egg here, need CWM to root the phone, but need a rooted phone to install CWM lol
