oho.. so you're running hackintosh?? lol (i have mac lion, ubunut, win7 and win8 and win xp all runnning on my home PC)

ok i suggest you transfer whatever data you have on D: into some other device and delete D: partition and make an "extended" partition in that place. Then in that extended partition make a new ntfs partition of sufficient size to restore back the contents of D drive and leave the rest of the space empty

or , easier method
<warning danger ahead>
try to resize D partition from inside win7 and leave out about 50gb space at the end of it so that ubuntu can be installed on that space but that way you'll end up having more that 4 primary partitions on your HDD which is not stable

using disk manager, remove partition d

that will leave you with "unallocated" space in that space.

now right.click on that unallocated space and click "make new extended partition"

search google for what an extended partition means its just a partition inside which you can create more ppartitions

Download "wibi"
n00b proof does everything for you

BTW if you have ram more then 4gb then install 64bit for sure
High config hardware is not fully used in 32bit

ya but for Android development 32bit is headache free

firstly mkbootimg is available for 32 only...(for 64 you'll need "abootimg" which is a little more complicated )

also for 64 bit you'll need ia32-libs which may break your whole gcc structure due to incompatible libc binary versions....

but as sahib says... if you have above 4gb ram you'll need 64 bit.

@lzvebz

when you instal Ubuntu , you'll automatically get your bootloader set up so that dual boot is available... you don't need to do anything special for that
