We just got CWM this past week and we're getting a stock Deodexed ROM so I'm making this thread to put all information in one thread.

But this doesn't mean it's S-OFF which I need to be able to flash other ROMs etc., right?

No, you can flash other ROMs. For flashing you don't have to be S-OFF...

If I only want root and don't want to install ROMs, can I just do the 5 steps on the left and stop with that?

Its almost too easy. There was very little challenge here. So, if you like a challenge, then I suggest you ride in the back of a bus on a bumpy potholed road while pounding a fifth of scotch, have someone tie both arms behind your back and heck, blindfold you...

this was way too easy!!!!!!!!! No fair!

so to answer your question -- basically the Htc bootloader unlock thing is pretty neat. thats first step. Then you just take Obrien's superboot.bat and run it..

I am so freaking happy to be rid of all that CRAP from tmobile. I mean, T-Mall? wtf.

would be great if you added short descriptions of the ROMs.
like stable/unstable , with sense/without sense, stock ics, fast, experimental etc.
