Question [Q] In case of emergency: how do I "pull the battery"?

Many of you guys might know the situation:

Flashed latest Rom but now the phone hangs. On my desire I can pull the battery, but how about the One Series? There is nothing to pull anymore?

Does this mean a higher risk for everyone enjoying the magic of xda? Is there another solution to hard reset the device?

Readed other threads about "hardware shutdown" which should be something like "holding down power button for x seconds"

The HTC One S & X have bulit-in battery like iphones. In case the phone freezes you hold power + volume down for like 5secs and meanwhile all three spft buttons are flashing and phone restarts into bootloader
