Can't install custom ROM issue

I followed the guide which EddyOS put up on how to flash ICS on the standard sensation. This has worked in part but now I'm having issues putting any of the custom ROM's on the phone.

my phone is now...
LOCKED
S-Off
HBoot 1.27.0000
radio 11.22.3504.07_M
Open ADSP-v02.6.0.2226.00.0131
eMMC-boot

Now when I boot into recovery I get a red warning triangle so I hold volume up and power and I get E:Can't open /cache/recovery/command...
from here I select apply update from external storage pick my zip file ROM and the system starts to unpack then I get the following...
E:signature verification failed Installation Aborted.

I've done a...
wiped data/factory reset and also done a wipe of the cache partition and tried again and still the same issue of E:signature verification failed Installation Aborted.

So tried the PG58IMG.zip then tried to run the su-2.3.6.3-efgh-signed.zip and once more I got E:signature verification failed Installation Aborted.

I've looked all over this site and I'm struggling to find an answer as to how I can get a custom ROM on my phone.

I tried to go over the revolutionary method for root access (from their website but no option for HBoot 1.27.0000??) but still no joy.

If someone can please help me get a custom ROM on my phone or point me the right direction of a post which is easy to follow so I can unscrew up what I've done I'll be SOOOOOOOOOO grateful.

hi, it's simple. you have to login to htcdev.COM to unlocked your phone, and flash recoverymay solve the problem. if you have any questions, you can send me. Email Calvin0512@Gmail.COM

First of all, downgrade HBoot to 1.17 using by flashing PG58IMG.zip from post 22 here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...0&postcount=22

Then flash recovery using the procedure on post 8 here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...03&postcount=8

Then just download & flash your favorite custom ROM...
