Ussd code is problem of specific phones, mostly global phones. Including blackberry.

I changed the keyboard for cm7 one, modified to be bigger. Included better rtl patch for arabic from jam97, made some changes to notifications, to be more compact and included toggles. Repaired sd ex/importing, modified ex/import dir to root of sdcard (internal). Will upload v6 today.

About programming menu, if I understand it right, it works, but appears only after first install and it's not possible to start it anytime later? With the ##3828# code for example.

I do a lot of web searching and i found that may be that motorola radio problem
because ussd works wonderfully on htc evo design 4g - world phone + android.

and some one said that:
"Motorola notoriously block NV items and controls radio behviour by NV rather than OS. Thats why in all moto global handsets, USSD codes do not work. Even when we load AOSP ROMs. "

Default LOVE THIS!!

Im very happy that i decided to do this. It sucks losing 4G but its definatly worth it. Does anyone have any suggestions on a kernal to overclock with?? Also I used to be able to access my data options by using the Dialer and dialing ##3282# but not it doesnt work. Is this because of 3G tweaks?

Seeing there won't be a dedicated thread for 2.3.5 mms issues I'll leave this with you guys.

Issue:
Sprint MMS Send and/or receive failure

Attempted fixes;
  • Swap APN-conf from working 198_7 ROM
  • Swap APN-conf with custom conf that contains only Sprint APN's
  • Manually programming APN
  • Edit build.prop device id DB to match working 198_7 ROM
  • Swap sms/mms related apk's from working 198_7 ROM
  • Kernel swaps

Observations and Results;
  • logcat does not even show an attempt to send
  • Even after manually programming APN, no APN profiles are listed
  • All above attempted fixes in various combinations still fail to resolve issue

The next step at this point is to dig deeper into the 2.3.5 base and swap out sms/mms related service and frameork files from 198_7. If this fails then ripping apart APK's and going over the code line by line.

I can make Joker's 1.3 kernel with this ramdisk.

And I will try to take apart the Dialer.apk, and Conversations.apk but it's hard for me to debug CDMA, when I don't have it. First thing, I would try, is swapping them from 2.3.4.

And ussd codes could probably be repaired too, by hexediting libmoto_ril.so. But what and where? Who knows? :)

And the programming menu seems like mystery too. :) But it's probably the Dialer.apk problem.

I need more info. Step by step initial startup activation of CDMA network.

Here are some codes, that I found, just for info.:

LOG_CHECKIN_SVC = "#35468#"

MMI_IMEI_DISPLAY = "*#06#"

NWSCP_DISPLAY = "#073887*"

USSD_HW_VERSION_DISPLAY = "*#8888#"

USSD_SW_VERSION_DISPLAY = "*#9999#"

**04*xxx...# - donīt know

**05*xxx...# - donīt know

After entering #073887* and 000000 code, you should be able to get to the programming menu.
Someone please check it. 2.3.5 dialer is different and allows only these codes.

So, about the ##3828# code.
It's starting the hiddenmenu.apk (not programming menu) which is specific sprint app, and it's not going to run on 2.3.5 Electrify rom.

Programming menu app should be working, but I cannot get into it with 000000 code.
