Found this somewhere.....

Found that a background running app listed as DRM was the issue. It won't allow the device to sleep. It's function is to check for theft from media hub. It runs constantly, updating every 11.5 seconds. Simple solution is to go into your running services and shut it down. If you use media hub, kill DRM after you log off. I also learned that if you kill Gtalk, it uses more battery. It is attached to gmail/android and if shut down, the phone does a constant scan until your gmail acct is verified and turns back on. It's best to leave it running, as it sits idle.

I noticed this last night while me and Uber were compiling kernel, my battery had been sleeping in between 6 and 45 seconds all day and suddenly I was getting 100% usage by DRM and a couple of other things after a reboot.... Then suddenly after about an hour or so of doing that it went back to sleeping in between 6 and 45 seconds. This would be my guess as to what is cause some of our long periods of awake time randomly.... It's sprint checking to see if you have stolen anything.... Lol.

Looking more into this....

I thought this was already well known. I think I have been freezing anything DRM since the EC05 days, but I could be wrong. I freeze anything DRM (used to be only 2 services, now there are 3) and System Updates anytime I'm on a TW ROM.

Thanks for the tip about GTalk, I just opened it up and it logged me in. I had read in many previous posts that it was better to log out of it, but it sounds like you're saying the opposite?

You can use Titanium to do that.

Directions here on how to handle it.

Using Titanium Backup Pro, MyBackup Pro, or Bloat Freezer (yes, non-free apps) freeze any of the following services:

sns --- (Will disable sns)
snsaccount --- (Will disable Facebook contact integration)
drm --- (May affect media programs like mediahub)
drmcontent --- (May affect media programs like mediahub)
systemupdater --- (Best disabled if on custom rom)

Enter the following commands into the Android Terminal to manually freeze the above services:

Code:
su
pm disable com.sec.android.providers.drm
pm disable com.sec.android.app.sns
pm disable com.samsung

Simply enter the previous commands into the Android Terminal while substituting "enable" for "disable" to manually defrost these.
My work will always be free! If you want to buy me a coke!

Keep in mind if you freeze system updates you will have to unfreeze to update profile or prl.
EDIT: Kenny beat me to it but I always freeze all 3 DRM and never had an issue with video ringtones anything. You don't have to freeze sns you can just turn sync off and on as you wish.

Sent using a cell phone....

Nope. I freeze all 3 and have no problem with custom ringtones.
