I'd reflash CM9 if I were you (just CM9, not the repack etc.), wipe cache/dalvik just in case, then reboot and let the rom settle for a minute or three. Then put the gapps on your SD card, reboot into recovery and flash them. Reboot.

Did a factory reset + complete wipe and cache wipe. I think it's working great and it's restoring from Google Backup. I see that it's restoring all my apps, which is REALLY good and none of my previous ROMS ever did that successfully. I just need to wait and see after the backup restore...

Damn I am a MORON...I was flashing gapps-gb-20110307-signed...,IDIOT OF ME.....wasted 30 minutes.

If it still doesn't work, fresh installation and use titanium backup to restore DATA ONLY Just get the apps from play/market

Oh no! When I use AOSP v8, the gallery work fine.
But when I change to CM9, the gallery couldn't see inside External SD.
Althouth I copy/paste file/folder from External SD to SD card, the Gallery not scan SD card for changing. After I reboot, it's ok. Haizzz.

This is something I can't stand and it drives me nuts. For situations like these I use the app Rescan Media from the marketplace. It's free and quickly triggers the media scanner so you don't have to reboot
