back when my tab worked, i used it mostly for videos and games.
i had insignificant to no issues.

i recomend v2.0.8 along with the landscape kernel.
with that combination no tweaks should be needed for just video.

Joy is another ROM port, available from goo inside.

some additions that are coming:
*choose overscroll color
*volume swap depending on orientation

I've tried the suggestion (2.0.8 + landscape kernel) and I think I may have done something wrong (but not sure) because most of my old videos (fansub anime) can't be played on the stock player now.

I downloaded MX player and found out the hw decoder can't handle them, but the sw fast decoder can (they're 8-bit btw) with a little stuttering on heavy movement scenes. Still, it's slower compared to old ROM on hw decoding mode.

What amazed me was how significantly faster the playback was when I ran a 10-BIT VIDEO using MX player's sw fast decoder. On the old ROM it played maybe 50% slower with the same setup.

I believe that if I can get the hardware decoding to work, I can play all the 8-bit videos in my collection with no slowdowns at all (since it can play 10-bit with SW fast decoder like a beast compared to the old ROM).

For now, I think I will go back to the old ROM since I need hw decoding to get a good playback. If I can find out how to solve hw decoding problem on this ROM, I will definitely be using it.

Any news on this? I've been wanting to flash my tab back to this since a few games I usually play work best on this ROM, but I was waiting on a newer version to be released

Edit: Or maybe a newer version that needs testing?
