There's a workaround for that by replacing it with some other bootanimation. You can find several of them in the "Themes and Apps" section.

I personally replaced it with the following one:

No need to post screenshots. It's pretty much like CM7.
But if you insist - Close your eyes and imagine cm7 with the banner on the first page set as the wallpaper. You've got screenshots! XD

couple of questions;

i downloaded a youtube apk, cant get it to open, but i know others have youtube working, with the arakmar kernel, anyone have an apk they can post for me, if there are different versions?

my wifi drops out a lot, even when i'm sitting less than half a meter away from the router, is this a known problem, never had it on froyo....

post battery screenie later, still have 9%

dunno about wifi...but youtube 2.3.4 works fine here
i'll upload apk later...i'm busy these days

Hmmm I downloaded youtube from the play store and it works fine here. Except for the fact that normal quality sucks and HQ is like watching a time lapse

noticed that also wth the video recording app, hope its something the devs can sort eventually.....

also installed a wifi lock app, to sort out the wfi dropout, worked great, apart from using 30% battery overnight and killing my phone!! un-install methinks!

Since I'm now on your Rom, with overclocked kernel, I expected my phone to start freezing immediatly like it always did with OC kernels, but so far the phone didn't freeze! I'm in love with the Rom acctually so I'm going to try to stick with it for as long as I can handle it .
The only problem I'm having right now is that the CPU is behaving weird. I had this problem before with G3MOD 2.4.1 on stock Froyo, but this looks like it's the same thing. Just randomly my phone start lagging on conservative when I use it for a while, and when I check SetCPU the CPU seems to hang on 83Mhz even though 800Mhz is set as max. I set the governer to ondemand, but it looks like it has issues as well. When on ondemand, the CPU doesn't behave well when I dont use the phone. When I just look at the SetCPU window and do nothing else the CPU lowers to 83Mhz like it should, but ik keeps spiking to 800, then back to 83, then up to 800 and so on. I can't tell if this is happening when the screen is off as well, but the battery drained pretty badly over night so I guess it did, maybe you know an app that can show a CPU usage graph? When I was on Froyo I solved the problem by flashing an older version of G3MOD (2.2.2) but I guess thats not an option since it doesn't have openFIMG implemented right? I thought maybe you'd have another brilliant idea on what to do now, and save the day again . Thanks in advance.
