I pride myself on creating tutorials that are NooB friendly. An example can be seen HERE

I am in the process of creating similar tutorials for the A100 but it has come to my attention that currently there is an immediate need for a file repository as the Vache site has been down for over 24 hours.

This OP will be updated at a future date to include the tutorials and I didn't want to create a separate thread simply for file links.

For now the links can be accessed in Post 2 of this thread.

In the meantime feel free to let me know if you are looking for something in particular or if you have a file you wish to share.

These files are being hosted on an Ad-Free Media Fire server which is NOT free. Any little bit helps to cover the cost of the bandwidth.

This list will be updated as files are uploaded.

USE THESE FILES AT YOUR OWN RISK. I have NOT personally used all of them and am simply passing along links and a high speed ad-free server to files that I have acquired.


Stock ROM's
These files are already named "update.zip" and can be flashed by placing them on the Root of your SD Card. Once placed there hold the Tablet in Landscape position (Volume buttons on top left, home button middle right). Then press and hold the leftmost volume rocker and press and hold power. When the tablet starts up release the power button and continue to hold the leftmost volume rocker until the file begins to install. As always make sure you know what you are doing and why before flashing these. There are currently separate instructions in other threads.

Acer_A100_1.014.08_COM_GEN1 <<< MD5 = cc1bc6becdca06a70ace5615e120dd0a (This is the Stock 3.2 HC firmware)

Acer_A100_2.007.01_COM_GEN1 <<< MD5 = 9e4e08c768f3e9c57ce889edb4a09896 (I believe this is the 3.2.1 update but there is a newer version below)

SD_Acer_A100_2.007.04_COM_GEN1_full_user <<< MD5 = 174fd08f33eec76911064915f40d9764 (Newer file referenced above.)

Why dont u torrent the files. Cheaper and seeds upon requests where members can help out

Torrents can be hit or miss and in my experience there are more leachers then seeders. Also, don't want to run a client 24/7 on my network.

Lastly, I paid for an entire year of Media Fire in advance so I might as well use it.

First thing first:
Get your CPUID before flashing anything (including official ROMs) !!!
I bricked mine, and unable to restore because I don't have the CPUID.

Currently my A100 is in the ACSC (Acer Customer Service Center).

Ouch!!! Any idea of how much it will cost to have them unbrick (restore) your tablet to working Tablet? I know some vendors have some system or another for replacing your broken or bricked unit so if anyone has any info on this please reply as I know that people have bricked their tablets and may have them sitting on a shelf somewhere. If this post if out of place my bad.

Android 3.2.1 Kernel 2.6.36.3 build no. Acer_A100_2.007.02_COM_GEN2
which file can put to sd for update?
