Hashcode, it seems mac addresses are had coded. Everyone has the same MAC address.

Here's the mac address everyone is reporting: 00:d2:8b:43:9f:fd

here's the dmesg. I'm no dev but it looks like hotplug is on. didn't that case screen on issues?

ran logcat -c command and am waiting on the issue. log at is filling with wpa supplicant survey data missing.

log at added.
No, I'm seeing the hotplug events as well and I have no screen issue. I'm guessing it has something to do with the LG screen you have and the new panel driver. I'll try to re-examine that once I finish with my current focus on WiFi power enabling/disabling.

a bit more info. after manually shutting the screen off it resumes with one press.
when the screen times out it will need multiple presses each time I've tried since trying to replicate the issue.

Ok...now that's odd...they should have the same initialization paths...

I used a wall charger on kernel 5.2, rebooted, and now my Kindle won't turn on. Did I brick my tablet ;_;?

Don't know if this has been mentioned. AC charging does works long as the screen is on.
I'll assume USB charging is the same but that keeps the screen active(?).
