Hey Sho, is this the case for 1.3 or just the new base in 2.1?

Wouldn't really call it a placebo effect, since the battery percentage actually drops.

Our battery gauge operatives directly off of battery voltage vs mah used. Upon startup there is a high current draw so the voltage sags, the battery meter reads this as the battery actually being that low. You'll see it slowly rise over time as it corrects itself. The voltage drop becomes even higher when your battery life is lower.

about the deep sleep. i'm gonna guess you were charging your phone or it was plugged in during that time, in which case the phone doesn't sleep. unless you actually got 15.5 hrs of "awake time" out of one battery

BTW, battery life is stellar for me on this kernel(rc5) running AOKP build 32
it's not caused by flashing specifically, it's caused by the phone being rebooted. The startup process draws quite a bit of current. You'll see it if you reboot your phone below %50 power, even if flashing nothing.

btw, if you see that small deep sleep, there is something else wrong. check your phone with bbs or reflash the kernel (even redownload it).
+1 it is common knowledge and has been discussed over and over. if you really had that little deep sleep while not plugged in, i'd suggest taking a look at Entropy's known battery drainers thread.

Just to make sure u know, the phone will not deep sleep if it is plugged in to USB or wall. If that is not the case u can try clearing cache and dalvik and see what happens. U do have to wait for a day or so for things settle in.

I had beweather pro once keep my phone from entering deep sleep. Unistalled and re installed and all was well. The kernel is fine its most likely an app.

Okay I have a dual boot question. If I clone a secondary rom that uses mic-swap and the primary uses no mic-swap, will they use the right kernel for each rom or will one be wrong? I guess the question I really have is if the dual boot will load the kernel you used to clone to the secondary or does it just use the kernel you have on the primary?

No they both use the same kernel, so the roms have to be siyah compatible and use the same mic configuration.

As far as I know both roms will be running the same kernel, you can't use that combination unless you get a modded Phone.apk in one of the roms.

I flashed this on cm9 4/20 and my wifi wasn't working. I read a couple post on this being something with the reference path (does that sound right?). Is that remedied or still in the works?
