Hi, even this could be possible. But remember you will need and external power at first.

However I`m getting no luck with getting any response from system.
I need someone with experience of kernel patching....
As we found, there is nothing hardware related which could take control automatically about host/slave switching. That means, there is something that prevents to reconnect in host mode. I have also searched in kernel sources, but I am not so much experienced with kernel driver moddings...

ROM: CyanogenMod 9.1 by Scritch007 - ICS 4.0.4 - version 6
KERNEL: 2.6.29. by ScritchOO7 - version 5
BOOTLOADER: unlocked
ROOTED: yes

All done from Linux !!!

do all USB connections need Power? Or are there some that don't need it ?

Like when i'm connection my Canon EOS 500D via USB, that camera has integraded Battery and you can't load Camera via USB, so does it still need Voltage for the USB controler, or not?

I was already thinking about contacting him. But, I am very shy person, so still little afraid to contacting anyone from "big boss developers"

So I will try to, but firstly I will make a poll if there are enough people which are interested in OTG on X10i.
To explain it, I am currently unemployed person, so also spending time with work searches.

Love everything about android, and coding and compiling everything around it, but dont want to dive deeply into something which will be valued positively just from few people (or almost no one...). Even I am prepared to do it

Yes, you need just data + and data - connected. Both devices must be powered, doesnt matter how So digital cameras are able to communicate without power. Generally every device with built in baterry are able to communicate without power.

No, sorry - research canceled due to lack of developers and not complete resources/datasheets. Even personally I love this phone...

You said that in case both devices have its own power supply, it should work right? I have an x10 mini pro with MiniCM9, do you think i would be able to connect my dslr camera to use my phone as an intervalometer?
