I was bored today so I decided to look into making a cleaner build and removing redundant crap. So I rebuilt it on a brand new Ubuntu 12.04 installation, and newest repo sync.

Nothing new in the build just nicer and up to date.

Build - June 10th, 2012 - Link: http://www.mediafire.com/?f94mp50dldd3p0z

Install:
1. Copy onto SD Card.
2. Format data/cache AND Format system (go to mounts and storage and format system there.)
3. Install.
4. Unlock code is "0000".

Side note: This is for i9023 and i9020a on the Mozilla website it doesn't say anything about 4G version.

-M

Update 1: This is pretty much a Alpha if not a Pre-Alpha. Camera is not going to work...not now at least.
-I CAN make phone calls.
-WiFi connects just fine and browsing works well.
-The screen is buggy its smooth+glitchy (if that makes sense).
-Camera is a no go.
-Data, well I get service and it recognizes my carrier so it should work; however, I haven't tried browsing with WiFi off.
-There is a marketplace and you can download apps, I haven't yet so don't know how it works.
-Other pros and cons, you will have to test to find out.

*I personally would not recommend this as a daily ROM unless all you do is call people even then I don't know how stable it is. This is for people who want a feel of B2G as development continues.

Ah, do you know if the way it handles calls/data is similar to Android?

This is shaping up to be one great OS, isn´t it? The only thing I´d change about the multitasking is I´d alter the behavior of the home button. I want to open multitasking with one press on the home button, not the home screen. If I press home from the multitasking view, then I want to go home. Like this:
[in app]+home>[multitasking view]
[multitasking view]+home>[home]
This way, the multitasking view doesn´t feel like an afterthought and is easier to access.

Should be easy to change, for those that are familiar with html/js/css. That´s why I started learning them few days ago. Can´t wait for the beta!

Question Updates?

On the previous build I had, there were updates at least once a week. On this one, there haven´t been any yet. I can´t help but wonder, are automatic updates disabled on the latest build?

"If you're doing frequent installs of up-to-date code, you may want to avoid having your phone automatically update Gaia and the "built-in" apps. To do this, add this extra step to your install process:

cd gaia
GAIA_DOMAIN=foo.org make install-gaia" - from the b2g wiki.
