I went from a G1 to an EVO in 2 weeks!

Good question. It's the last bit of HTC crap running all the time on my phone. Pretty sure it's not the windshield wiper...I can kill it with no noticeable effect and the full screen weather forcast still works (no wiper though, because it never rains in California)

Its identifier is com.qualcomm.wiper, so it may have something to do with the CPU and I wouldn't kill it. I wonder if that app exists also on the S4 One X (thats quite likely) and on the Tegra 3 One X (probably not).

Doesn't exist on CM10 and no loss. Killed it on stock with no effect.

I think it has to do with getting location from wifi networks.

Question looks like toe its ....

Looks like an on-die instruction set on the qualcom that closes unused apps/processes clearing cash and CPU cycles. But then again what do I know.

What do ya think
