Problably the .apk is not in system/app you can take it from a stock rom

had this issue too.
solution:

go to recovery mode, install this rom
clear cache and factory reset as the rom instruct you
install rom again, without clear cache or factory reset after
reboot
bootanimation is ok.

compared file-by-file v1 with v2. Only 2 files differs:
camera.apk from system/app
s98system_tweak from init.d folder

from where the changelog comes?!

from those 2 new files, camera.apk is of wrong version - it starts saying 5M in place of 3.2, but it force-close in 3 sec, wit no preview of the image. - it is probably from ace ROM....

Bootanimation is disabled in this rom for fastest boot...
