A new nightly is out... which would you guys prefer? Ditch the stable and only make new versions based on the newest nightlies, or do two parallel builds, one based on stable and the other based on the newest nightly? The stable won't be updated so often since I don't have much changes to make other than minor tweaking here and there if I do this.

If I were you I'd only update if the nightly has significant changes. The last nightly only had generic CM stuff that mostly doesn't apply to our device.

By that logic, I shouldn't have updated nightlies at all since I released this rom since the last P920-specific change was April 3

Generic changes do affect the P920 build; as long as it applies to android_frameworks_base or something like that, generally it will change something in our nightly also (but to be sure you have to check the commit). Anything with qcom doesn't apply (we don't use Qualcomm chips for anything important), nor msm7k etc... you get the idea.

But yes I agree, for this particular nightly there are no significant changes other than the haptic feedback one. However usually CM7 nightlies are infrequent and as such usually bring a bounty of updates and changes every release.

Ricardo posted a new nightly yesterday which is an attempt to fix the call echoes. Someone please test it; if it does fix call echoes then I'll rebase pronto.

Hmm, he hasn't updated the github repo with his changes yet, nor is anything about it visible on the changelog.
He didn't push his changes, which I guess means it was a quick fix. Someone on the issue tracker reported that the echoes still exist. I will test as soon as I can, but I've got no one to call. Maybe tonight I will call my mom and fetch a new logcat while I'm at it.

I think you should just do nightlies. Even the stable on has bugs, and on nightleys they are trieing to be fixed. In my opinion, do nightlies, please

There are still echoes
yes
I was 14th on the programming contest I had today. There were like 30 groups.
The thing is, I'm not a **** programmer, but I'm really bad at contests.
There was a drink afterwards too, and the beer was free. So I just called my mom and logged it on a logcat. Mom still hears echoes. I uploaded the logcat to the issue on google code.

My mom really suffers from this issue.

I now believe that the stable was built before 9th June, or at least the changes after 9th June were not merged. The nightly from 20120610 had a commit which was when you swiped away all notifications from the notification bar, the notification bar would close automatically. This change is missing from the stable which leads me to believe the changes after that are not merged. The code freeze must have occurred before that commit was merged.

In any case, once I have time I'll update to the latest nightly.

Default question

Will this work on the P925 with GB baseband? I know the one you made for 925 won't work (it does, but no wireless service). I loved everything I saw and want very much to use it!! Thanks for the great work!
