I got a decent port of this last year ago. But it's not on android but on my n900 device which runs maemo OS. Since multibooting on that device is as easy just like on a desktop PC. I am just 4 months old with android so I am not yet that pro with this kind of stuffs so my answer would be... "I'll try"

Also I still have ideas on implementation like porting uboot for our Xperia phones. Hopefully

Also regarding Ultima ROM ICS. I still don't find it neccessary since mostly all of the mods for ICS is applicable to the current stock ROM. I think this negates my past intention on making Ultima GB since the mods on the GB ROM isn't quite very compatible with Xperia Pro.

In fact with Xperia Pro stock ROM you could flash thiniliac's Xperia S transformation pack and you almost got a fully custom ROM.

Anyways after the kernel matters I will resume my work with the patcher. Plus I am watching closely with CM9.0 progress if I find it stable and feature pack enough then perhaps that would make me consider making an Ultima ICS kernel for CM and probably make Ultima ICS ROM for CM.

So as of right now I'm all eyes on 2 projects. The FreeXperia ROM and the Paranoid ROM as those two seems to grab my attention the most.
You'd need to base it off the CM Kernel instead of stock, and we'd need more someone who provides a Stock Rom more than a modification of CM.

Also, Paranoid Android is already being ported.
Current Cellphone:
Sony Xperia Pro (MK16i)

Current ROM:
Xperia Ice Cream Pureness by ThilinaC (Ported by flsmidth)

Current Kernel:
2.6.32.9-Don2x

I won't base it on either stock or CM kernel it has it's own arm kernel to begin with. Perhaps I might start as a chroot environment. The drivers are the real pain on these kind of development.

Also I am just eyeing paranoid ROM. Which means I might make the same concept of it but not port it.
It was made for another android device porting it would just break some of it's features it's better making a whole new one instead which is purposely made for our device.

So a new ROM based on other qualities huh. Keep up the work.
(You don't need to talk to me about "arm kernel" or "chroot environment"... I don't know what those mean, lol. I just know how to flash kernel/ROM xD).

I've flashed your kernel this morning onto the MIUI ROM that was released here - http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1699647 - which was working fine. All seems to boot okay and function, except now it no longer goes through the "Preparing SD card..." process, and showing my apps off my MicroSD. I noted in some earlier posts that you said you'd disabled the script for sd-ext, but I'm guessing that's for an actual ext3/4 partition rather than just the standard ICS external app installs to a FAT32 card.

If I missed something obvious, please do tell me (I hate asking unnecessary questions, and I'm pretty sure I've trawled the thread where relevant and checked the MIUI thread too), and I know it doesn't help that it's a non-stock ROM to start with, but could you give me any pointers as to what I'm missing? Some sort of mount command somewhere perhaps?

Oops, never mind, turned out they'd just hidden on other screens and reappeared elsewhere. Not sure how that one had happened! Keep up the good work ;)

looking foward to your new kernel release.. i wonder if automatic backlight is kernel or ROM?

Paranoid Android is one of the most interesting projects here.. i hope for a real port for xperia pro.. unfortunatly these are based on CM so i guess there might be changes needed for your kernel.. the most bad stuff about fxp kernel is battery life.. i'm trying fxp builds since fxp122 and battery life is about 60% less than with sony ICS - this is far from well working.. and there are other bugs that need to be ironed out so i hope it will get better otherwise they shouldn't call it RC's

i flashed almost all roms available to xperia pro, but none of them are kicka$$ like ultima rom(except lower internel memory issue). so pls consider ultima ICS rom, lots of them are waiting 4 it.

Kernel Update(ICS)

V1.4
  • Lot's of optimizations and fixes on pointers
  • Network tweaks on kernel side
  • Added some more implementationf of Xperia Ultima kernel gingerbread
  • Stripped debugging feature on WIFI modules. (Should regain alot of space on /system partition)
  • Altered OOM settings to regain more RAM.
  • Compiled with additional flags for better implementation and performance of processor & GPU driver
  • Added full support for loop device. (Now you can mount images on the phone) sample project here - http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1585009
  • Increased VMMaxReadAhead
  • Added SHA256 encryption support for ICS
  • Workaround & created a new implementation of config_netfilter _xt_match_owner because old one conflicts with qtaguid. Kernel should support Apps like Droidwall, Orbot and any firewall programs fully now.

I will be working on CM ROMs if all the features are already working. I am willing to fix those bugs specially the one in battery life.

And true ROMs like paranoid depends on CM kernel so before I work out on ROMs like that you all should wait first for me to make a CM kernel first.

It's a joke, I just wondered
The only leaked jellybean ROM for now was just a system image from SDK. Although we could have it I don't think anyone would be interested in it. ROMs from SDK are just super stripped versions to the point that no one would appreciate it that much yet. I think it should just be composed of a web browser, phone, messaging, and some basic android stuffs and bloatwares
