Anyone else getting low bars of service? On Gingerbread I would have -79 to -85 dBm, now I get like -103 dBm (+/- 5), which translates to 1 bar of service. And getting more than 3 bars has been near impossible.

No.. With the ucld2 I'm getting as high as -69 in good areas.

Try a different radio. That will help fix your signal strength.


For anyone having issues with the extended power menu, please follow the op's instructions for flashing this rom. You might have to start from scratch though. Also a side not the rom comes with the rogers radio so don't try to flash it over top or you will have issues with the power menu. Trust me, took about 5 hours but I got it.

Which one would you recommend? Can I use a Gingerbread radio UCLA3 with an ICS rom? Or should I try the radio from the 1st ICS leak?

Edit: Flashed UCALC4 radio and now I'm getting -71 dBm! Full bars. What a difference.

Sorry I missed your question. Its honestly trial an error with the radios. Just got to try them all and see what works best for you. If there was a best there wouldn't need to be such a variety of them lol. Also two more things. For the new NOTE radio please be careful when flashing it because it sometimes wrecks a partition on our phones (there is a tread dedicated to it, I believe the op describes no power menu showing up), and two when you flash the new radio give it a chance to settle in before you reboot your phone from recovery. So for example if I were to flash a new radio I would let the phone just sit there idle for like 2-3 minutes after the flash completes, then I would reboot the phone. I hope that makes sense lol.

Just to clarify.. The ROM does NOT INCLUDE ANY RADIO. The radio will be what was there before you flashed the ROM. Since the RADIO is location sensitive, I have provided all the radios that I could get hold off in a CWM zip in the OP. I typically have them all in my sdcard so I can switch between them. The Network Mode feature only applies to RAT unlocked radio which is the Rogers UXKJ7 radio, which is also provided..

I flashed the UCLD2 radio and had issues. Located the other leaked ICS radio and I'm getting full bars -79 dBm.

:/ I could have sworn that I was using the UCLD2 radio when I was with Sky ICS update 9. Now unless the radio stuck while I tried flashing Embryo its now showing up as the rogers UXKJ7 radio. My apologies, I didn't think radios would stick when doing full wipes...

All the RADIO's are provided in the OP. Use those, as they are cooked to line up correctly with the ROM (UCALC4 radio is also there).

It will display what the radio provides..so you had the UXKJ7 radio before you flashed, embryo..Our device has the flexibility (almost) to flash different radios, hence I will *never* bundle a radio in the ROM or an UPDATE. They will be available as separate CWM zips in the OP.
