Compiled Kernel missing UMS function, including USB Tethering
Hi!
Time for me to seek help
Been searching everywhere for answers but to no avail. I am simply trying to avoid to redo my setup.
Problem
I've a kernel build system to just compile kernels but after 2 months of not using it, recently something went wrong.
Whatever kernel I compiled, be it freshly synced from cm source or my own git repo, UMS is missing. Basically the phone doesn't react to USB at all including USB Mass Storage, USB Tethering, etc, except USB Charging. The kernel boots fine though. Also my kernel upon bootup is missing the folder as follows:-
/sys/devices/platform/usb_mass_storage/
I'm sure the problem doesn't falls to kernel source or toolchain that I use as the same steps were performed on my CM Build system which can also compile kernel (But I kept it separated) and it boots fine with the UMS function working well.
I would like to seek any kernel experts to share why and how would I able to resolve such issue.
Thank you.
