I have carefully read and done everything it has said to do. When I try to do the wire trick, when prompted - it does not reboot, and keeps saying DO WIRE TRICK NOW!!

Sorry for being a noob
If you're stuck there, you're just not making contact.. Make sure that wire is firmly in that hole..I almost wonder if the actual contact is recessed a little bit within that hole, so the wire has to go down in a hole within a hole.

I looked for this but didnt seem to find it. But when i tried this i actually downgraded from 3.14.605.10 to 3.14.605.5 since thats what it was meant for. Then i did everything it said but i got stuck on a blank screen after i did the wire trick and control bear couldnt find my device. anyone know what i did wrong?
Edit : i also got a notification in windows that i need the driver qhsusb_dload which from what i found out meant that my phone was bricked

Mine also didn't reboot right away. I thought I was doing it wrong as it just sat there and the screen kept ticking. I tried it multiple times in on session. When it rebooted though, I was S-Off.

So just because it doesn't reboot as you make contact doesn't mean that it wasn't successful. Unless of course yours still says S-On.

If you're going to use a paperclip, be sure to use a coated one and strip the coating off the ends.

The 3.14.605.5 version should work fine. The hboot hasn't changed.

3.14.605.5. It's the same hboot as .12, so the exploit is the same.

Im running the global firmware with hboot version 2.27. To get S-Off I tried to revert my hboot to 2.25 by flashing the 4.03.605.12 firmware in hboot as a ph98 but the update failed with an error message that the hboot im trying to flash is older than my current one. So how do I revert my hboot back to 2.25 so I can go S-Off or do i have to wait for s off to be available for the new 2.27 bootloader
