One development question that you may be able to answer - when I go into contacts, Google has polluted mine with every email address I've ever emailed (and since I've had a gmail account since it was invite-only, that's a LOT of addresses). I know you can choose to just display contacts with phone numbers, and that works fine for me, but I'd really like to wipe out all the other contacts and be able to save the .vcf to my SIM so I don't have to import/export an enormous file every time I flash. Any ideas how I might accomplish that?

If you physically disassembled the phone, I imagine you could use some transparent colored film over the white LED's underneath...

Even if it's limited to just white it'd be a nice touch.

Anyone tried pulling out the kernel and running it with a different ROM? A grayscale theme seems like a perfectly good waste of an AMOLED screen to me (no offense) but the death star bootanim in the stock ROM is driving me nuts.

When I get time I'm gonna pick apart the zip and see if I can figure out a way to install the kernel on another ROM and see what it does.

I really should just take the time to learn this stuff and make my own ROMs...

A grey scale theme is beautiful and much easier to make themes for. Hence the reason I'm made it black and white
