Default Wifi and/or Twitter problem

Hi

I'm a noob, thanks in advance for your patience/help.

I got a Galaxy Note yesterday. All was fine until I tried to log in to Tweetcaster using wifi. The app wouldn't connect to twitter so that I could put my details in. When I disconnected from the wifi, it worked fine. Other apps and the browser seem to work alright using wifi. The browser will not, however, load the twitter mobile page when I'm on wifi. I downloaded another twitter app and that wouldn't work using wifi either. All the apps and the twitter site will load when I disconnect wifi.

If I try to post a tweet, it'll just show the loading screen for ages and then it'll say "network error". I can't refresh my twitter feed either. If I disconnect wifi, it'll work.

My old phone (HTC Desire) and my laptop both use the wifi fine and twitter works on both of them.

The router is a netgear n150.

So I'm not sure if the problem is the phone, twitter or the router.

Things I've tried to fix it:

- Factory reset the phone (didn't work)
- Factory reset the router (didn't work)
- Changed the channel the router uses (didn't work)
- Checked for firmware/software updates on the phone (didn't work)
- Installed and ran the Fix My Wifi app (didn't work)

I'm really not very skilled when it comes to routers and stuff, so you'll have to dumb it down for me.

Thanks in advance for your help! :)
