It should reboot into recovery. Try loading into recovery and make sure it's still there. Happend to me in my process. Kept rebooting over and over, then realized to check recovery and it was gone. Reflashed Amon RA and on next attempt I successfully got S-Off.

yea i have had this problem all night and day. nothing helped. installed cleanrom and old firmware patch, and that got me to do the wiretrick, but now its hanging at another part.

manually updated sdk, bc it seen a few but didnt DL them. then imma try it again

mine reboots when it detects fastboot, but it does nothing ... i think this is where you said it boots to recovery? mine doesnt have recovery on it and i cant flash it without fastboot (bc fastboot is being used by controlbear)

(Make sure the Exploit program is closed on windows)

Power off device.
Boot into bootloader then navigate to fastboot
Flash recovery as you would normally.
Reboot
Run bear.
