Question [Q] notification bar light

Hi, is there a way to dim the notification led bar and to keep it on at all times or adjust how long it stays on for? Because when using the phone in the dark its a mission to find the back or home button.

Thanks

I was also thinking of doing something with the bar light. During the day it's useless to keep it on, it's just using battery for nothing. It would be nice ti have a feature of turning off during the day and on in the evening. It would save a lot of battery also... I would prefer turning off for good and save battery.

they are just LED lights, barely use any battery anyway.

I think it should turn on almost every new notification it gets. For E-mal/Gmail, message, etc.

I have found an app called Adjbrightness that disable the soft keys but you need root. I don't have rooted my Xperia S so i will use the app called screen filter that have an option that disable the soft keys. I have putted the filter to 100% so it won't change my screen brightness. I will check if there some battery % saving or not.

It does work in disabling the belts LEDs without root however I found it lagged my phone pretty bad, I haven't tested battery usage either.

I have a stupid question. How do I get the notification led bar to come on when I have a missed call, email, etc? All I have working is a blinking blue led light on the top left corner.

Thanks.

It would indeed be nice if you can just set for how long it must be On.

For now, gently tap the camera button, when you are in the dark, and the belt Leds are off
