This is what HTC should've done with this phone. Its an optimized stock rom, from the inital setup you'll notice the difference. It is based off latest OTA so those with S-ON running stock you won't need to run the boot.img through fastboot.

Quick noob question, can I flash this on 1.45.0013 hboot unlocked w/ s-on? Just regular thru cwm or do I have to use fastboot?

you flash it through cwm...then flash the boot.img (kernel) through fastboot with "fastboot flash boot boot.img"

i had anywhere between 8-12 hrs depending on usage..closer to 12 unless i was gaming
