Default A700 out already?

when looking for a release date this morning, I found this at neweeg.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16834215347

Although the specs aren't what I was told, look at the display ratio, is this the A700 or just a step on the way

Sorry about that, I got a little excited when I looked at the specs.

Default A700 out already?

Hi guys,

even though I wish you would be right and the A700 would be out already (I am really hot for it) the A510 is the "predecessor" for the A700. As far as I know the difference is the display. The A700 will have a HD screen. The A510 has a regular one only.

I would appreciate getting more information from Acer when I can buy the 700...

The a510 has about a 720p display. Its not bad at all. In fact you won't see much of a differance between a 720 and 1080 on a 10 inch screen. Sure it will be a little clearer and crisper but not by that much. I was gonna wait for the 700 but when I heard it was gonna be around $700 I decided to go ahead and get the 510. Like ive said before. I can build a new AR15 or some other nice toy like that for that much.

I'll never understand how people try to argue that these differences in screen density don't matter. Of course the 224PPI screen on the A700 is going to be generally much sharper than the 149PPI screen on the A510. Text, pictures, pretty much everything will look significantly better. And yes, I'm writing this on an iPad with 264PPI, which I'm only using because I've yet to find an Android tablet with a screen that comes even close to being as pleasant to use.

Of course, this post is moot, because the A700 is being priced at $549 for 32GB, which is a kick in the teeth to people, who just paid the same for the A510. But seriously, the higher the PPI, the better the abler experience.
