Also until you use the custom roms you are passing judgement on you shouldn't comment on them, there are many users including myself that don't run benchmarks but still notice huge performance improvements from custom roms and we have annoying issues fixed such as that three don't menu button.
The reason you have yet to see a developer release a radio image or a ril library is that the source code such things is not made available to them so do some research before you regard HTC as the holy grail of software. (search chainfire 3d for the HTC hd2 if you want to see how bad HTC can get with their drivers)
It's your choice not to use custom roms but don't belive that HTC are as reliable as you are making them out to be.

I had used custom ROMs since WM even before Android was on the market. And being Android developer myself, I can tell you that if some app needs performance boost on a quad core powerhouse, the developer should really reconsider another field for his "tallent" because obviously developement is not his thing.
All I said was that WiFi issues like what we are having can only be fixed by HTC if they are software problems because the chefs here can do nothing about the radio. HTC have their right to keep their radio software closed and moreover they HAVE to keep it closed, because by modifying it you can violate regulations.
HTC will fix the problem either by fixing the software or by fixing/replacing the hardware (if I choose to take it to a repair center). ROM chefs can do neither.
EDIT: Three dot menu is expected behavior on apps that are not optimized for ICS. The need to "fix" the expected behaviour says enough for the competency of the fixer...
