Possibly not for another 6-8 weeks so I don't fancy returning to Stock and still having problems and having to mess about getting it S-Off and rooted again.

And to be fair if it wasn't randomly switching itself off I might consider hanging on to it longer as when it works properly its a pretty decent phone, I just cant live with the unreliablility.

Ok thanks, just a couple of things though, what is RMA and how do I flash the stock? can I do it through 4Ext recovery and do I need to wipe anything first?

Consult Bortak's guide on that, I'm not writing it over again here.
RMA is a warranty claim.

Go to desire android development then go into stickies everything u need to know will be there and thank OP if they helped
