Dori may i request a feature that is not an extreme one , As i posted earlier **and was removed for no reason (Thank you mod)**
1.) Can u please have a slider or menu in s-tweaks for undervolting or overvolting all the cpu voltages( range +/- 150 mv maybe in steps of +/- 25) from 0 - 1150 mhz it would really useful to many users (including me) that have to do this every time they install a new update.
or
2.) just like 2 buttons that would add +25 mv and -25 mv to 0 - 1150 mhz
Thanks
and MODS

Feedback that could genuinely helps to the development of the kernel, for example tests of a new feature including a complete explanation, documentation and results. Requests of new features for the next versions of the kernel with the proper explanation of why you expect to see it and why do you think that will be an improve to the kernel.

Yes, will be a nice feature, if it is possible. Its a bit annoying to need some minutes more after every change of kernel, just by setting thousands of sliders
Btw, normally the restore function is enough, but not sure this works with every new kernel with some new settings. So how about selectively restoring groups of settings (with some more buttons or selectors on the Backup/Restore Tab)? If possible, that will be greatest of all...
I think this is going to be complicated, for something simple. It's good as it is now. Having more tabs to uv makes stweaks also slower to load.
U can set your stable voltages in STweaks, that you are sure your device can handle. And use a 3rd party app like setcpu, voltage control to test experimental voltages. (don't set on boot)
This way you know that your device can boot up, (experimental voltages will always SOD, sometime of the day, and then you'll boot up with your normal(stable) voltages in STweaks or else you have to reset.) And you can experiment further. .
(Setcpu saves your last voltage when u boot so just 1 click.)
And also uving -25/-50mv on all freqs makes no sense, u might be able to uv 1100mhz by -150mv, but 500mhz will SOD by -25mv for example
And no you can't restore your kernel settings with such advanced kernel, or you have to take a lot of time to incorporate that, that means +1~10 tabs with restore functions ? that will cause STweaks make loading for ever.. And he can better spend his time developing than making restore tabs for lazy people=p
I just backup my stweaks settings then open it with text editor and apply the settings manually
Restoring old backup doesn't work tho, Stweaks get's reseted automatically when you change kernel.

this wont be difficult at least my second method, if i knew the commands to program i would do it **i love programming but know none**
all u have to do is add +/- 25 to all

I didn't talk about more and more tabs, as you said, stweaks is slow enough with last additions
I like a setup -25 for all, its stable for since all dori versions i know. I don't want to test something, i know that my setup is stable and it will be cool to set all the variables with one or two clicks after upgrade, backup didnt do that if too much changed in stweaks config.
Btw, maybe we discuss that in non-development thread, all i wanted is to ask for useful feature, hope i did it right for this thread...
New feature request: it's possible to install different Wi-Fi drivers depending on the rom running on the phone?
In this way I think we can restore Wi-Fi hotspot for CM 10.1 and avoiding drain, without preventing other roms from running with latest Wi-Fi driver.
Just wondering, don't know if this can be done ^^"
+1, would be so awesome
That'll give full cm10.1 and root box 4.2.1 support .
I think it could be possible to do it simply by blacklisting one of the two drivers with a boot parameter, and we could even choose the one to use using stweaks.
I previously reported a bug which I wasn't sure it is kernel related or not.
Now I'm sure it's related to kernel. It happens in all 4.2.1 Roms, including, CM10.1,AOKP,Slimbin,Rootbox and PA. and all ROMs based on these.
This happens when "slide2wake" is enabled. It not only register slide from left to right, but all the touches and in a proper screen underneath the dark screen(for example if lockscreen is disabled) it can launch events, just like when the screen is on. The most serious case happens during a phone call. it register every touches and since the phone is not locked, it can pulls down notification drawer, ends a call, pulls up dial-pad and etc depending on where the phone touches your face.
