The chip that is being used is the same that's used in the EvoLte/One S.

Well all depends on whether not Supercurio can load the needed drivers and make thing work otherwise it will be an infinite work in process or just voodoo louder like the epic touch. That's too bad.

I just hope he get it working, I paid for voodoo and I'll miss it when I get my Sgs3 next week.

To be honest I compared my gnex to my epic the other day. Absolutely no difference. Same headphones same song no presets no equalizer just one with voodoo and one without.

Plus I'm pretty sure if you use the paid application it gives you voodoo.

Remember the GB leaks? Is that still a thing?

S3 is certainly a great piece of hardware, but it has its downsides: no Wolfson DAC, no low-power LTE chip (these are still in development), pentile screen. Still, I would have gone for it if it was not for the lack of LTE deployment by Sprint and VZW shutting down its 2x data promo prior to launch.

I just wish I could do USB audio out and connect to my real external DAC if I wanted to get some quality..

No low power LTE chip is sad.. But you can always play that game from what I've found. Need to draw the line somewhere.

Drivers still need to be compatible with the phone... which the gs3 may not be

It's been tested and doesn't work. The dac is the same as what's in the one s and evolte and reviewers say its the best dac available. There are threads in the gs3 forum regarding this topic if you want to read up more.

The galaxy s3 is a really great phone but I'm holding on to my Nexus S4G until I see what the new Nexus device look like later on this year also Google will be updating the Nexus to jellybean ota mid July so jellybean on my Nexus S4G will hold me over for 6 months or so!

I will wait to see what the Nexus brings but at this moment I am leaning on the GS3. My upgrade isn't till December.
