[Q] Galaxy GIO SHW-M290s/k

i had same problem with my white gio, its from Korea and i just need EUROPE software with multilanguage add

i already tried make some custom firmware from official Europe Gio firm. together with Korean firm, but phone not starts, sometimes starts,


i dont exactly know which files is language files, someone for help?

i have all sources, Korean( also opensource) and EUROPE custom and STOCK roms

i can upload, please i need valued developer who can help me...

your phone is different. different hardware, etc, sensors and more, so most roms will not work, or it will boot and most things don't work.

hello, iam not stupid,

iam already tried , S5660 firmware, but there is no WIFI and BT drivers and also sensors drivers is differnet, nothing more

there is two ways( i mean)

1.give into korean firmware all languages, and all will work...

2.give into EUROPE firmware drivers for WIFI ( i know there is bcm4329 chip) , BT and also for sensors( sensors is not very important, because you can use mobile without rotation and works good)

i mean it can work , but this need some good developer who can make it together, because i already tried system.rfs files , but i dont excatly know which files is language files or which files is drivers etc...

try stock rom for S5660
but dont use S5660 kernel. use SHW-M290 kernel.
then, look at
- /system/etc and /system/wifi on both rom. u'll know the different. and replace it
- replace sensor module from SHW-M290 rom. usually can found on /system/lib/hw
- if bluetooth still not working, try to replace /sytem/bin/hciattch and module for bluetooth. (on S5660: BCM2049C0_003.001.031.0088.0094.hcd) usually can found on /system/bin or /system/etc/firmware

hello mate , i cannot beleive somebody found

so i will try this today , and will leave result here, but i had one problem which file is kernel?

because in stock rom of both firmwares is just 8 files

recovery.img is just recovery
system.rfs there is all important things
boot.img
amms
arm11boot
mibib
oemsbl
qcsbl

also in s5660 rom in one file more CSC.rfs ( country soruce code)


i already tried make together some roms from these both but sometimes starts , sometimes not starts good

so this is reason why i ask somebody who can help me with this
from my meaning is good to replace just drivers in stock SHW-M290 rom
, because for example , all stock and custom roms working good on SHW-m290 exept wifi,BT and sensors

without luck today my friend, tried, swh kernel on s6550 stock rom

also tried replace drivers, without any luck

do you know which file is language in system,rfs

afaik, language files is stored on application.

/system/etc can be found on system.rfs
you can mount it with loop option with linux

yes already checked, but there is no any like this file
