Default [Q] HTC Sensation XE newbie help

Hi.
2 questions about Sensation XE. I am new to this phone.
The current ROM is Android Revolution HD 6.5.1 by mike1986,

I do not know how it was installed as there is no HBoot option on Vol-Power ??
So how can I upgrade or even do OTA as there seems to be no option on phone??

Second question is the previous reported sounds stopping working, has this been fixed with newer roms or is it a hardware fault??
I've been late for work cause of it already. Can't seem to find recent answers to this.

Thanks for help..

There are few bugs.
Step 1. Get the new version of the Rom. Android revolution HD (or ARHD) is on v6.3.3 I guess. I personally like InsertCoin roms by baadnws.
Step 2. Save it on the root of your sd card and go into recovery (vol down + power button)
Step 3. Do a full wipe (format data + cache + dalvik cache)
Step 4. Scroll to "install from sd card" option in your recovery. And select the latest version you downloaded. Follow on screen instructions.

You're good to go.
I suggest you go for insertcoin roms by baadnws and show-p1984's kernel, best combo ever. Battery saver I must say.

Don't forget to hit thanks

Before all this, you must get the latest firmware and flash it through recovery. Sorry I didn't mention that. My bad.

Thanks for your help but I don't think phone has been rooted / s-off or anything.
Nothing happens when I hold V- with power button, it just boots normally but it has a custom rom? How is that possible?

Hi,

In settings/power,make sure fastboot is unticked.
Then ,try again.
Hold volume down+power button together.

Thank you. That has cleared my path. I can now see recovery menu. Will now prepare for new Rom.
