If you have the Defy+, no need to flash the CM9 kernel. It works fine with stock GB kernel.

Steps that I followed are (assuming you have already installed 2init recovery):
1. Copy both the ZIPs to sdcard.
2. Boot into latest recovery.
3. Flash CM9 NIGHTLY zip.
4. Flash gapps zip.
5. Wipe data/factory reset.
6. Reboot.

Copy (http://quarx2k.ru/cm9-nightly-defy+/) , (http://goo-inside.me/gapps/gapps-ics...317-signed.zip) into SDCARD.

1.Reboot your and enter into ClockWorkMod.
2.Choose RECOVERY->StableRecovery and wipe cache.
3.Now choose Advanced->Wipe Dalvik cache. Go back to previous menu.
4.Choose install zip from sdcard. Choose the rom zip file. Flash it.
5.Now choose Google apps zip and flash it.
6.Reboot.First boot will take some time.

In case you get bootloop, Enter recovery and wipe data and reboot.

This is my first post, but i'm not new to this forum. I read a lot of the threads and performed almost every flash recommended by several users.
In the first place i want to thank all of you for doing such great work!

But now here is my question/ story:

I had cm7.1 installed on my Defy red lens, so far no problems, but wen i installed cm 9 made by Quarks i got a black screen.
After that i went reading on the XDA forum and got a new SFB file.
But that was DFP-2312 and could not be rooted, so i had to look further.
I found a thread with a rooted DFP-231, and that was working. Instaled 2nd ini t 2.0, and wanted to install cm7 again, for that was the last rom working like i wanted! Too bad it didn't, i got a black screen. after that i installed nearly every rom i could find, White Rabbit, picachu, Wiui, cm9.....
But every time i got bootloops (White Rabbit) or Bootloader error ( the rest)
After several times having installed DFP- 231 again, i don't know what to do anymore. I hope anyone can help me, cause i realy want to loose Blur and all the apps i don't use/ need!

It says Modelnumber MB526, but it was MB525. It's not a Defy+

If you have to install CM7 or Cm9 you should flash only DEFY+ version. You can find the battery patch and all the links in this thread, WIUI is for DEFY only. Now your device is treated as DEFY+ so it won't support.

ok, clear, but i've been installing cm7 and cm9 and then i ended up in the bootloader (err: with several numbers behind it and saying battery is ok enz)
After cm9 flash, i flashed the kernel too, but that too did not change anything!

Oh man its hell of a mess. Can you use 2.3.6?

Not sure what you mean, i'm using DFP-231 that is 2.3.6, but its an stockrom.
Is there an customrom you think i can try?

There is rom called whiterabbit try and see. It is based on stock ROM so it should work fine

I've tried that one before, version 1.5.1 but got into a bootloop.
Just before i could touch the unlockscreen it started over again.
Maybe i didn't wipe cache and factoryreset, i don't know for sure. Gonna try i out tomorrow and let you know, if it worked.
