Very nice app to get around the root problem: google's current resolution in the exchange settings.

Currently I'm thinking about a killer feature for your app:

Update the pictures in your folder with matching facebook profiles. Implement a background-service, with a time-interwall to update it. Possibility to set manual matches (google contant -> fb profile). To get this feature device independent, you could store the fb-id in a custom contact-field, which is possible in google contact profiles.

Would even help you developing, I'm a C#.net SharePoint junior developer, but had Java in my apprenticeship.

Previous devices
Compaq iPaq 3630 > Sony Ericsson K750 > Samsung SGH-D600 > Nokia N91 > Nokia N95 > Apple iPhone 3G > HTC Magic > Google Nexus S > Samsung Galaxy Note (GT-N7000)

Hi Bartito,

I cannot find the the folder with google contacts photos neither. Do I need to download the pictures from Google contacts first or when synced they should be saved somewhere in the sdcard?

Thanks in advance.

No, this application is used to update the photos of google contacts, not to save the photos of google contacts.
To use, select the directory (menu key -> settings).
In that directory there should be files that are called as the contact to update and type png (with a png). select the contacts to update and click menu -> apply

Thanks for your quick answer, but which would be the specific directory? i´ve been searching for contacts or something similar and i cannot find anything though.
Edit: I dont have any contacts in my sim, only synced with my google account.

DONATE TO ME
You need to have/create a folder where you put the pictures in. The app will read from that folder and matches the pictures to the contacts.
It will get better if you stop touching it
Nexus -> Purity
S2 -> Neatrom light | Ported bootanimation: Cid loading black background
History : SGS -> cm10 | GT-I5801 bootanim Solarflare, Blue Badge, Jumpgate
Please use proper spelling, punctuation, and grammar in your posts

Great idea... and a perfect way to overcome the awful limitation of Google's backend (Microsoft Exchange!)

I have a few questions though:

MAX HEIGHT
It's not 100% clear what this setting is for.
Does it mean the image in the source folder MUST be <300>Pixels heigh?
Does it mean the image in the source folder will be overwritten with a resized version <300>Pixels high?
Does it mean the image in the source folder will never be overwritten, but a resized version will be applied to the contact?

PNG FILES
Will it work with ANY png format (24 bit or 8 bit)?
The app is detecting jpg files too (they are found in the updater), does this mean jpg files are also supported?

Also, I'm on v0.3 (for the first time) and the app crashes when I apply the photos - but I'm sure this will turn out to be something trivial.
