It would be nice to know if I am getting 1x, 3G, or 4G so that I know what kind of speed to expect when web browsing or downloading content. Especially when using the WiFi Hotspot to tether other devices. Just curious, what is the max download speed of 1x? I usually get around 300K with 3G and 2000K+ with 4G.

it all depends.

sadly, most companies dont actually have TRUE speeds according to the actual definition of the speed rating.

they are close enough to actually still be called 3G, 4G etc.

at the moment in my area, i am lucky to hit 100k on 4G.

cant wait for LTE to launch and maybe address these slow data speeds.

I think he means once they Upgrade to LTE completely, he'll have better speeds on both 3G and 4G. Since Sprint is upgrading all the towers and stuff.

I just wish I could get anything faster than 3G. Although Everywhere I go I have hotspots that I know I can get on so that at least makes it better. Every time I forget to turn my wifi on I find out real fast how slow 3G is

Believe me I am trying to get rid of that. Basically I just need to take the exit button and swap it for the ok button on the popup. But I am having issues getting the correct code in there. So far I have made it not do anything or FC the app. But I am still trying to find this.

I usually get 4G, but a few times here and there I was stuck on 3G. Those moments I thought to myself, how on earth do people survive on this slow 3G. I can't imagine how frustrating it may get with no 4G or good speeds.

At least that should all be changing soon enough with Sprints upgrades and whatnot.
