Hello Guys,

I am facing a previously discussed issue in the thread. Although I have read through it and applied the relevant fix , the issue remains pertinent.

Issue: I cant see any sort of files and folders in the external memory card in any sort of explorer or file manager. All files are perfectly visible in USB Mass Storage mode in PC.And strangely when I copy a file into external card from inside the phone , its visible in the phone explorer but Invisible in USB Mass Storage Mode in PC.

Fix: Chasmodo gave the link to latest CM9 Kernel dated 8th August. I didnt flash it as it is already there in my latest CM9 Nightly of the same date.

Kindly Help and Fix the issue.

I am currently on Official CM9 Nightly dated August 8th.

Thanks

I afraid, that battery drain on latest nightlies is not related to packet filter patch. Everything is fine when on Wi-Fi, but much more noticeable drain on mobile data, than it was before.

Ok, figured it out - this is Fast Dormancy (http://www.androidnz.net/2012/06/at-...able-fast.html)
Now testing this app - FastDormancy Toggle for i9300, which also seems to work for SGS2. Will report later on this.

Sorry guys, my search-fu seems to be failing me on this one. I remember talk about a bad version of clockworkmod recovery that was in a few nightlies that failed to mount the internal storage. I think I have that, but I've been back a few weeks worth of posts and can't seem to find the fix. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Sorry to keep harping on about this – I realise that there is not a quick and easy fix or it would have been done already, but I have just two problems with CM9 as it currently stands, and want to know if anyone knows a workaround to them/what other people have done to minimise these issues.

1) Volume/notification bug. This is the issue where the music volume is greatly lowered when certain types of notifications occur, and then only partially raised again afterwards. The end result is that it is effectively not possible to listen to music if frequent notifications (email arriving, SMS, Viber messages, etc.) occur.

There are reports of some people no longer having this issue after some recent updates, but I have not noticed any change.

My question is: Does anyone know any way to work around this issue? What notification settings, music player, etc. do the people no longer experiencing this issue have?

2) S-Pen alignment in Landscape mode issue. This is the issue where in landscape mode the S-Pen alignment is wrong/backwards, making it difficult/not feasible to use it accurately. I can’t confirm if anyone else has this problem or if it’s just me – but it does mean one of the major features of a Note – the S-Pen, isn’t usable in landscacpe. Touchscreen Tune, which might be able to fix this problem, doesn’t work on CM9 – according to its dev., because:

Quote:
“It looks to be a problem of CyanogenMod, it is not properly calling driver to notify that screen orientation changed, so settings for landscape are not applied (when phone is in landscape mode, driver still thinks it's portrait and applies portrait settings). Actually what samsung firmwares do - is detect when screen orientation change and call wacom driver IO control function to notify driver, that other settings should be applied.

This is a definition of what should be called:
static DEVICE_ATTR(epen_rotation, S_IWUSR|S_IWGRP, NULL, epen_rotation_store);
passing here 0..3 for screen orientations”
(which sounds to me suspiciously like the cause of the original bug… that it doesn’t know it’s rotated properly when it rotates?)

So my question here is: Is there any workaround for this issue? Is there any way to get my S-Pen to work properly in landscape mode? I don’t care if the button doesn’t do anything etc., but I do need the ability to be able to write/draw accurately with it.

Once again, thanks for all the hard work – I love CM9, just need to figure out how to get around these two issues and I’ll be set.
