Ran the brickdetect.sh and it is just blank? Any suggestions? I have tried with different cords and what not, still won't give me a number.

Blank? No errors or anything? Is the file in the same directory as your terminal?

Not that I know of...

I have tried running the command
dmesg | sed -ne '/sd.27 sd.28/{ s/.*\(sd.\):.*/\1/p ; q }'
on it own and it shows blank. I am so-so with linux what are you looking for/trying to parse in the dmesg listing, maybe I can look for it manually.

I can find my phone by the command "lsusb" its showing on port 5

I am looking thru dmesg to see which sdX it is manually, so far I see a 5 and a 6

I have found sda1 thru sda6 is that what I need to be looking for?

Which Linux distro are you using? Is your brick on the supported ones? Are you using a USB2 port? You have disabled auto mount and unity?

It's because your phone is s-off, does the same for mine. The best way for you and me both is that site you linked me to that uses a riff box, or buy a riff box which is around $135. I am thinking about buying the riff box myself to see what else i can do with it.

I wish I would of held on to the brick I had a few months back so o could test this out. Maybe some day ill need to anyway. Who knows.

I just emailed those people on the site to dbl check with our s off situation. I
Also have a galaxy tablet brick so I might get them both fixed at the same time. I will let you know what I do.

Well I am gonna send mine off to that company in Texas. I emailed him he said no problem...he must have a riff box and can flash to a currupted hboot.

he was/is an xda member as well, before they made him remove his site from his siggy (not advertising like saying buy unbricking here, but thats half his site), i used his service to unbrick an hd2 i bought (ended up being bad from bad factory ball job), worked fine till it started the dreaded 7 vibes of death...

typed this actually on the old phone sans the origional motherboard
