No, if you are NOT S-OFF, you will need to flash the Rom in recovery, then flash the kernel in bootloader as you would normally do with S-On/unlocked devices.

What I did was:
Boot into recovery
Flash wipe file
Flash venasaur ROM
Flash old firmware
Pull battery, boot up

Turning on mobile network won't let it connect

Edit: Ok now it connected after about 15 mins after I had left it, but the now the error is back. Can someone link the old firmware? Maybe I'm using the wrong one.

Newt said i only changed 10 files and that 95% of the ril fix was still his...im pretty sure thats more than 10 files [unless im counting wrong lol] i wouldve posted more but i'd be here a while....

I read on this thread that I should just install the newest firmware instead of old + patch?

Is that correct? Anyone have a link handy?
