Default [Q] E:signature verification failed Galaxy S GT 9000

Hi
I'm new to this.
I was trying to get Android 4.04 by Darkknight.
I went into recovery mode, cleared the Cache, wiped the data( Factory Reset). using Volume down+Power+Ok.
Then I tried the update provided by Dark Knight.
It shows me an Error message

E:signature verification failed

Samsung Galaxy GT-I9000
Spec.
Firmware: 2.3.3
Build Number : GINGERBREAD.JPJV6

How to fix this.It would be great if you provide detailed steps to solve this.

Thanks,
Sameer

Are you on stock recovery? If you are you need a custom recovery

Default uhhh... iunno?

I'm actually having the same problem. I've tried stock recovery and Clockwork Mod recovery to no avail. Would it have something to do with being on 2.3.5 stock rom?

I have this rom to and im sure you need to do a full data wipe from recovery also clear cache and dalvik..also I think your build number needs to be xxjvu to get this rom (have seen this on sites)but I'm not sure. I installed it with xxjv4 (the new Samsung value pack from kies)

Full data wipe or factory reset. I used SuperOneClick to wire everything and then used AIO Captivate to root and flash the rom and it works brilliantly! Thanks for the ROM!
