Actually what they are reporting seems to be incorrect, what google maps is doing is using a thing called wi-fi trianglation location. What it does is uses three or less wi-fi networks that surround you to get an approximate location. It also using cellular trianglation location which does the same thing but instead using cell towers and can also use your current wi-fi's IP address to also get an approximate location.
No location via GPS at all.
Until someone uses this GPS app that lets the user know how many satellites are currently tracking you, if any, and can confirm that it has some satellites is when we know GPS is working.
Have you actually had a crack at resizing the gallery? That is the hardest app to resize and I have no idea where to look to fix it, I am sure someone will work it out one day.... I don't think it is in the gallery app itself (I have changed nearly everything but nothing happened) and its not in the framework either
