Lightbulb Just a suggestion, should this forum merge with Int'l One X?

Hi people

Here is a suggestion, is it possible to merge this forum with HTC One X?

We can have two different dev section all under HTC One X, but I think for the general, accessories and others, they are almost the same (I know the camera, bottom of the phone and the length are different but its not a lot)

Why I suggest this?

The info are separated in two places. Several people are discussing the LTE version in the Int'l HTC One X, and some discussions are here. It's hard to look for infos...

also for devs, it can gain more attentions on the LTE one,

Does this happened before?

Not sure, but we can take Galaxy Nexus as Example, there is only Galaxy Nexus forum, but when you click in, you can see

galaxy nexus general
accessories
GSM Dev
LTE Dev
Themes & Apps

I think one x forum can follow the same path

one x general
accessories
GSM Dev
LTE Dev
Themes & Apps

how do you think?
T-Mobile Dream DREA100 Brown (Sold Because no ATT 3G)
Rogers HTC Dream DREA210 White (Sold)
Telus HERO White (Returned Because it's deadly SLOW)
HTC Desire (Sold because no ATT 3G)
Bell Atrix Phone (Sold)
HTC Flyer 3G (Sold but still LOVE the pen )
Samsung Galaxy Nexus (Waiting for new housing)
Rogers HTC One X (No S-OFF, so Sold )

I read in reviews that the size of the two phones between the internationa and US version are slightly different. That the metal connections on the back are slightly different too. SO that means that accessories won't be cross compatible.

So my vote is not to combine the threads.

I agree, it will reduce confusion between the too anyway.

I agree w/ not combining threads. The two phones have different pins, different processors (thus different battery life), different storage sizes, and different radios. Many of the problems for the international version are unique to the international version, and the same for AT&T.

From a general discussion perspective, because we can't generalize a problem from one version of the phone to another, having them in the same forum really just promotes confusion.

Why not just leave it as is?

There's already a ton of discussions in the international forum, merging the two now that the LTE model is just taking off is going to cause a lot of confusion.

And as was mentioned above, TPU cases aside, accessories are going to be completely different.

Because of all the small differences between our models, it's probably better to keep the forums separate.

The reason people are discussing the LTE model in the international forum, and vice-versa, is because the forum names aren't clear.

DONATE TO ME
There are various hardware and software differences that make this not a great solution. You could say "why don't we merge with the One S folks, they've got the S4?"

Developers are smart. They'll make their way to the One S or One X sections when they need to pull resources. I promise!

EXACTLY how it should be set up....the Inspire/Desire HD should have been set up like this also, except their dev sections actually could have been put together also....

General and Q&A is a given...

accessories will nearly ALL fit (soft cases definitely will, hard cases are still up in the air)
and who cares about the pins not lining up with cases?? You have to remove the case for a Dock anyway...

themes/apps should all work (pretty much across all sense 4.0 devices)
